Deleting an MSDS Format

Note: This feature is available only to administrators.

Delete an MSDS format when it is no longer used by your products' MSDSs. If you delete a format currently used by any products, those products' formats revert to No Format Specified.

To delete an MSDS format:

Starting at the MSDS Formats page (How do I get there?), do the following:

Click the MSDS format you want to delete.

Rename and Delete links appear in the box on the left.

Note: Any MSDS format showing an IHS logo () is an IHS-supplied format and cannot be deleted (or renamed).
In the box on the left, click Delete.

A message asks for confirmation.
Click Delete to confirm.

The MSDS format is deleted. If any products were using the deleted format, their formats now revert to No Format Specified.
